Google our name for more info pullondavits TM If you have a large swim platform or already use Weaver swing-up davits where your dinghy is pulled up to a vertical position, your vessel is probably ready for this alternate choice in carrying your dinghy in the horizontal position. In other words you can have two ways to carry your dinghy with our Davits, vertically or horizontally. If you have Weaver Quick Kit mounting plates on your vessels swim platform, just pull the pins to release your Weaver snap Davits. Slide in our Davits to your Weaver quick kit mounts, pop in the pins, and your ready to carry the dinghy horizontally. ( provided your dinghys width is less then 1/2 the width of your swim platform.) Ask us about extensions if your swim platform is under or less than 1/2 the width of your Dinghys. These davits were precisely made to fit and carry your dinghy aft of or on a swim platform. Our design sits about 2-5 taller than most Davits of this style. The arms are a bit longer so they are still easy to pull up onto the swim platform. In many cases the engine can be left on, in the lowered position, without touching the water behind the vessel carrying the dinghy/tender if you use our extensions keeping the center line behind the leading edge of the swim platform. The extra height also makes it easier to place the locking pins into place for extra security and stability. Our pull-on davits have several locking positions that others do not provide. They have a setting at approximately a 45-50 degree angle making it easier to pull your dinghy on board. Pull the dinghy up evenly to get it loaded properly by pulling the dinghy up as straight as possible. We recommend that when pulling up the dinghy by hand that you put a line at the bow and aft of the dinghy. Loading your dinghy on to the platform: Pull on both sides as evenly as possible as not to put side ways stress on the Davit arms. Continue pulling the dinghy up, a little on the aft and then the bow or visa versa until the dinghy rights its self. Tie the dinghy down securely to your platform and put the locking pins into position. Youll also always have the option to use a block and tackle or a removable winch making it easy to load your dinghy. See the links to our YouTube videos on our web site. They can be removed from the swim platform by simply pulling several pins that lock them into place allowing for full access to the swim platform. Materials used: Marine Starboard Davit yolks/Arms. Stainless steel bolts, nuts and pins. Stainless steel bottom plates that slip into and pin to your own Weaver quick kit or Forespar Quick Davit TM swim platform mounting plates. No GLUE OR Patches are need to be added or put on your dinghy to use our Davits. That means you can change the dinghy from one dinghy to another without modifying the dinghy. They can also be used as a sturdy dinghy docking system on your fly bridge for resting the dinghy safely. We also make extension arms that work with these davits to get the dinghy further off the back of your vessel if you have a smaller swim platform. Extensions are not included in the price shown. We even have extension arms that are adjustable to be used on different width swim platforms. We also make an 8 extension for our Davits to be used if your swim platform is not wider than 1/2 the width of your dinghy.
