good used upper gearcase unit from a 1986 OMC Cobra stern drive with a 5.7 engine. engine was blown. setup sat for several years before parting out. Pulled apart to count the gears for confirmation and to inspect the bearings. it is a 21:16 unit and all the bearings are good. clean it out, put it back together with new seals, fill it with oil and run it. Obviously the case is very dirty from sitting, could use some elbow grease to clean it up and paint it first. Driveshaft will need a new front yolk shaft (part #912212) or you can re-use your old one. the one on this unit has seen better days. U-joints are solid and move freely though and very usable. Upper case is intact, it is not pretty but is completely servicable. no stripped bolt holes. comes with bolts you see in the pictures. sold as-is where-is since used. buyer pays calculated shipping. Unit will be shipped as seen to reduce box size to help with shipping cost.
