Yamaha V8 four-stroke outboards

In recent years Yamaha product development has been nonstop, clearly showing Yamaha's commitment across all markets and all horsepower bands.

And now with no less than 49 different four-stroke engines in the range in up to four different shaft lengths, Yamaha Motor UK have taken the ultimate step in enhancing customer service...by introducing a full five- year warranty!

All 2008 model Yamaha outboards purchased in Europe for leisure use carry a three-year manufacturer's warranty.

However until the end of June 2008, all four-stroke Yamaha outboards purchased in the UK by private individuals for leisure use will be eligible for two additional years warranty cover, giving five years total "piece of mind" cover.

Yamaha now produces the world’s first-ever V8 four-stroke outboards.

The 5.3-litre F350 and F300 engines are designed to be very powerful while still retaining the benefits of conventional outboards.

The F350 delivers up to 45 per cent more thrust than other 250hp outboards. Its 60-degree V8 configuration and in-bank dual exhaust provides tremendous torque.

Its 32-valve, DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) design allows the F350 and F300 to breathe freely, plus its VCT (Variable Camshaft Timing) dramatically increases torque in the crucial low- to mid-RPM ranges.

Standard on both outboards is Yamaha’s digital network system. This features smooth, user-friendly electronic throttle and gearshift controls.

Saltwater Series XL propellers

Yamaha has designed a new line of propellers for the F300 and the F350. The Saltwater Series XL propellers are larger in diameter than any previous outboard propellers and have a greater blade area, which provides the raw thrust needed for large offshore boats.

All Yamaha four-stroke outboard motors imported by YMUK and purchased in the UK between 26th October 2007 and 30th June 2008 were supplied with a full five-year warranty for all leisure users. All engines had to be registered on the Yamaha warranty system by the selling dealer to give this additional customer benefit.

Yamaha full extended warranty

Every engine in the Yamaha four-stroke outboard range from the smallest - the F2.5 to the most powerful production model - the V8 F350 now has a full extended warranty, subject to terms and conditions.

Yamaha have announced that the warranty scheme will include both parts and labour cover, giving purchasers extra protection over the five years.

The Yamaha warranty is transferable in the event of the outboard being re-sold. A well maintained outboard with full authorized dealer service history can often lead to higher resale or trade-in values. And all with no extra cost to leisure marine users.

Full warranty cover is subject to any owner complying with the recommended Yamaha outboard operation and meeting all regular service schedules in the relevant owner's outboard handbook.

All work must be carried out by Authorized Yamaha Outboard dealers within the Yamaha Motor UK network and warranty is restricted to UK use.

All engines must be serviced and run using Yamaha approved parts, accessories and specialist Yamalube oils. This is the only range of lubricants specifically formulated by Yamaha factory technicians for use in Yamaha four-stroke outboards.

Servicing dealers will only use these Yamalube oils to ensure that engines remain in the finest operating condition for years of leisure user enjoyment. A copy of the full terms and conditions applying is available upon request from Yamaha outboard dealers.
