Yacht Management
and Support
Support can be tailored to the individual
requirements of each owner.
Under a typical arrangement, yacht management
provides a skipper, with additional crew if required, for
a set number of weeks each year so that the yacht is
ready to use and where the owner wants it at all
times.
It can involve the provisioning of central
office support to ensure that all maintenance, spares,
gardiennage and issues such as laying up and yacht
insurance are handled systematically.
If required yacht management can also involve
arranging limited yacht charter to enhance utilisation of
the boat and make a contribution to costs.
Technical Advice and Ad-Hoc Support
Each year, with hundreds of differently equipped
yachts, yacht management teams are very well qualified to
offer advice on purchasing, specifying and setting up a
boat according to the owner's cruising plans.
Also offered is experience in boat building and
other related trades, which enables supervision,
specification and organisation of maintenance, repair and
yacht re-fitting activities, assistance with insurance
issues and related repairs etc., handling negotiations
with the yacht's insurers and obtaining a substantially
enhanced settlement.
