Vinyl boat names

There are many companies offering online mail order boat graphics, where you design and order the product yourself on the company's website.

Your graphics are produced using Polymeric Calendered Vinyl.

This high performance vinyl is recommended for medium term applications ( up to 8 years in normal weather conditions), is dimensionally stable and can be applied to flat or curved surfaces. Shrinkage will be minimal.

The vinyls use a pressure sensitive adhesive. Once pressure is applied with a squeegee or roller over the positioned yacht decals, a chemical process begins in the adhesive which will increase the bond with the substrate.

The final strength bond will be formed after 3 to 5 days, so a little extra care should be taken with any boat graphics during the first few days following installation.

This service is recommended by the ARA, the main rowing body. As a provider of boat names and identification codes, you can be sure of a quality product within guidelines set out by the PLA & ARA.

Clients include a large number of clubs across the country from schools and universities and clubs to national teams. It can provide names, codes, oar decals, blade numbers and crests and more…

These vinyl graphics rowing boat stickers can be placed anywhere on the boat including the oar blades and shafts. For example,if you are planning on rowing at Henley Royal Regatta and have secured sponsorship, the regulations are summarised as follows:

The size of the individual stickers are limited to 800sq.cm. Eights can have 4 each side. Fours and Quads can have 2 each side. Sculls and doubles, 1 each side. In addition all boats can have identical stickers on the bow and stern canvasses.

You may have a maximum of 2 sponsors per boat.

Sponsorship on oars and sculls is limited to 100sq.cm (max height 5cm) on the inboard section.
