Tohatsu outboards and inflatables

In 1956, Tohatsu produced the first outboard motor in Japan, the "OB-2", an air-cooled 1.5 horsepower machine. 

Originally designed for Japanese commercial fishermen, Tohatsu Outbaords have been put to the ultimate test for decades - harsh ocean conditions and long days of running for hours at a time.

A further testament to Tohatsu's toughness the 2.5hp still holds the world record for the smallest outboard ever used to cross the Atlantic.  Tohatsu delivers Reliability and Durability.

Tohatsu 4 stroke outboards ... fuel-efficient four strokes that are easy to transport.   These outboards are compact and have been manufactured to comply with all C.A.R.B. 2008 (3 star rating) emission regulations and exceed both the European Union emissions standards and the US EPA 2006 regulations.

Tohatsu TLDI® engines Work ...

They are powered by a direct fuel injection system and a 32 bit ECU (Engine Control Unit). The ECU gives precise fuel injection instructions in accordance to the operating conditions detected by the multiple sensors located on the motor. The TLDI® outboard motors meets all of the 2006 emission regulations stipulated by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)

The Tohatsu dinghy range consist of a slatted, air mat and plywood floor series as well as  sports boats and small rigid inflatable boat series.

Tohatsu marine has now joined forces with a premier inflatable manufacturer, to offer a comprehensive range of boat and engine packages at highly competitive prices. The versatile and rugged range of inflatable is ideally suited to Tohatsu's lightweight and durable outboards.

Each boat comes with many standard features including double coated heavy duty fabric, double-bonded airtight seams, carrying bag and repair kit .
