Springs and pressings on boats

SPRINGS... The use of cylindrical springs in deck hardware...

The ideal solution to 'standing' a block head up high from bases or travellers and allowing the sheave to align with the ropes direction.

Two models available, open coil spring, and a elastomer enclosed corrugated boot. N.B.: Pillar blocks are best for springs as the shoulder forms a convenient platform, however the coil spring on bullet block wrap over straps still works adequately.

Springs have a variety of uses, but are most commonly used to support stand- up blocks when not under load. They can be used in conjunction with eye straps or swivel bases.

GRIPPITS

Popular economically priced camcleats. Two sizes available. Cams in anodised aluminium alloy with Hi-tech 'acetal' axial bearing surfaces to ensure minimum weight and good operational resilience to corrosion and extreme usage. A budget Camcleat has both case and cam and integrated springs made of clear acetal resin. Still the most economical and lightest Camcleat for its rope size on the market.

Lewmar self-tailing winches...Self-Tailing Innovation

The new Wavespring combines Lewmar winches renowned and gentle wavegrip feature with self adjusting springs. It handles todays smaller diameter ropes as well as the traditional larger Dacron composite ropes.

A sleek new feeder-arm design ensures absolute snag-free operation.

GENOA CARS are used for leading sheets from an adjustable deck position, to a cockpit winch.

Our low profile sheet blocks have small diameter wide rollers keeping the sheeting position close to the deck and coping with changes of direction. The Robust springs or plungers locate positively in the track holes whilst the knob pull is profiled to minimise rope snarl ups.

The towed car model R2667 is controlled from the cockpit to any position along the track. This method of adjustment is faster and more convenient for racing boats.
