Marine Engine and Gen Sets reconditioning

Worldwide Marine Engine Specialists

Of all the products and manufacturers Pelican Engineering Group represents and supports, our association with Gardner diesel and marine engines dates back the furthest to 1919 when Pelican was founded.  No other company currently trading has a longer association with Gardner Engines anywhere in the world.

Unlike many of our competitors all the Gardner engines we overhaul are built and tested within our own company workshops by our own directly employed Gardner trained technicians.

We offer service support to Gardner marine engine operators worldwide and our technicians will travel to any location to carry out any service from a running repair to a full engine overhaul.  Many customers find it is often more cost effective to have full skilled Gardner engineers travel to a job rather than use local labour that may have little to no Gardner experience.

Many yachts, fishing boats and tugs are fitted with Pelican build marine gen sets that use Gardner engines for power.  Pelican is still active in the marine gen sets market and we offer a full gen sets reconditioning service for owners of Gardner marine gen sets.

Engine Test Facilities

At our Leeds depot we use a Heenan and Froude test bed.  All engines we recondition are subject to full brake test up to full load for a six hour duration.

Customers are always welcome to attend and witness this testing at our premises.

At our Castleford depot we have separate facilities to load test generating sets from 40kva up to 2500kva.

No company anywhere in the world has a longer association with Gardner Diesel engines and Gardner Marine engines.
