Aquaseal Rubber Ltd. have a long and successful
history of supplying innovative solutions to the shipping
and marine industries.
We are your only manufacturer in the UK of many
of these components:
Porthole rubbers ...For plastic and Aluminium
port lights it is recommended to use an expanded neoprene
seal.
Cleat washers...Cleats are fitted with a rubber
washer or ‘grommet’ to aid compression). Compression of
the washer determines tension in the cleat.
Window Seals
Hatch packing and pads and hatch
seals
Anti-vibration mounts
Radiator and turbo hoses
Air vent and exhaust ducting
You have a choice of a wide range of
materials including:
Neoprene watertight seals...This closed cell
material is suitable for making a watertight seal on boat
hatches, lockers, enclosures, cabinets, etc. To bond into
place, use a good contact adhesive if there is a large
amount of moisture or water present.
Cork seals…The durability and versatility of
cork has made it one of the most popular materials for
seals. A natural product, it offers many advantages. It
can be compounded with a variety of raw materials to
provide a comprehensive range of sealing
products.
Synthetic rubber compounds such as neoprene,
nitrile and silicone are popular, but by blending
carefully selected cork granules with these polymers,
finished products can be provided which combine all the
advantages of rubber, ie high tensile strength,
resistance to many fluids, ability to withstand extremes
of temperature. The natural properties of cork are high
compression, good recovery and low load
sealing.
Silicone seals …long lasting product that is
ideal for a variety of industries. Its properties are
second to none, with a wide temperature range of -40
degrees C to +250 degrees C continuous. The product is UV
stable and non-toxic.
Nitrile seals… can be varied in formula to
provide optimum sealing with controlled swell under the
most arduous conditions.
Rubber seals … where a joint is required to be
highly compressible under light flange
loading.
Polyurethane seals …extremely durable, tolerant
of severe pressure loads and resistant to a range of
abrasive fluids, featuring impressive long-life
characteristics.
