Sussex Yachts are the largest rigging, sail loft and chandlery in the South East of England. Our large premises based in Brighton marina, houses all the departments of the business under one roof. We offer all services for yachtsmen from complete re-rigging to Liferaft servicing.

Our international rigging team have a vast amount of experience replacing and repairing both running and standing rigging. As main agents for masts and spars from Selden, Z-Spars, Sparcraft, Francespar, Hall Spars, Southern Spars and many more we supply you with all necessary rig parts. Our team work at the highest level, including Volvo Ocean Race team Delta Lloyd.

Maintaining close working relationships with our suppliers ensures we are up to date with all technological developments within the industry. Working as a main agent for Selden Masts and Spars who are market leaders for rig systems on dinghies, keelboats and yachts, we keep you up to date on new deck equipment and carbon mast, spinnaker pole manufacturing facilities in the UK.

Brighton Sail Loft

Working as an agent for Banks Sails UK, our recently extended and refurbished sail loft offers you top quality service and advice from staff of the highest calibre. The sail loft manager has had an impressive career at North Sails, UK sails and was head sail maker for America’s cups Team Shosholoza. We design and build sails ranging from cruising Dacron to membrane racing sails. We offer everything from a full valet & UV strip replacement, to bespoke canvas work such as spray hoods and spray dodgers.

We have supplied many happy customers with the perfect match to their sailing requirements. Supplying sails for customers with Oyster, Beneteau, Dufour and Jeanneau yachts, we can tailor the needs of each boat, whether it is a furling headsail, fully battened main or spinnaker we can supply, repair and help you maintain your sail wardrobe.

As avid sailors, we are, above all else, sensitive to the needs of cruising and racing yachtsmen and when time and tide won't wait, we can provide fast turnaround to get you back on the water, a service we are pleased to provide for the dedicated race fleet in Brighton Marina, Sussex and at busy seasonal times of year when international and visiting yachts are keen to enjoy their sailing holidays.

We have a well stocked chandlery that runs along side the other services, this caters for all your yachting requirements, sailing clothing, maintenance, antifouling, safety equipment and much more. The knowledgeable staff, which consists of boat owners and sailors, are always on hand to help you source spare parts for your sail or power boat. We supply you the essential items from key brands such as Musto, Henri Lloyd, Plastimo, Ocean Safety, Crewsaver, Spinlock, Harken, International, Hempel and Flag paints.

As the biggest chandlery outside of the Solent and with many years experience, we can help you source spares for water systems, plumbing parts, anodes and all of the complicated widgets that help you with your onward passage and essential boat maintenance.

To compliment our other services, we have onsite a team of marine electricians, who undertake refits and installations on cruising and racing yachts. With ever changing technology in marine electronics, we keep up to date on available products available in the industry. The team has liaised with, designed and installed systems, such as those used on the VO70 boats, with state of the art B&G deckman software and bespoke 12V computers. Stocking and servicing Raymarine, Garmin, B&G, Simrad, Lowrance as well as all other major manufacturers.

We are a one stop shop for yachtsmen and boat owners, whether you’re crossing the Atlantic or southern ocean or crossing the channel, we can address all of your needs and can be the voice of experience to give you as much help and advise with your passage plans and the necessary equipment for your safety on board.
