Established 35 years ago, Storrar marine is the best stocked yacht, motor boat and dinghy chandlery in the North East. Attached to the chandlery is a sail loft and rigging workshop.

Offshore clothing from Henri Lloyd, Musto clothing and Gill clothing incorporating waterproof jackets and trousers, mid layers and base layers as well as a large range of casual wear.

Dinghy clothing from Crewsaver, Typhoon, Henri Lloyd, O'Neill and Gill incorporating drysuits, wetsuits, buoyancy aids, spray tops and trousers, neoprene boots.

Footwear from Dubarry, Musto, Henri Lloyd, Gill, Orca Bay including breathable boots, deck shoes and rubber boots.

Marine safety equipment including lifejackets from Crewsaver, Seago and Typhoon, Pains Wessex flares, fire extinguishers and blankets, liferafts.

We are the north east installing dealer for all Garmin electronics including handheld gps and chart plotter, stand alone fixed chart plotters, fish finders, combined chart plotter fish finders, multi function navigational displays capable of displaying chart plotter, radar, digital sonar, video as well as Garmin autopilots.

We supply and install electronics including Garmin, Raymarine, and Standard Horizon.

We are the North East dealers for Mercury outboard engines as well as Nanni diesel inboard engines. We can supply, install and service engines to your requirements.

We also supply inflatable dinghies from Waveline, Quicksilver and Wetline as well as rigid inflatables (RIBs) from Waveline and Valiant.

RIBs can be supplied as bare hulls or rigged to your individual requirements with a variety of seating options and Mercury outboards.

We have the best stock of marine paint in the area with antifouling, primers, gloss paints and varnish from International Marine Paints, Blakes Paints, Seajet Paints and Epifanes Yacht Coatings.

Newcastle upon Tyne sail loft and rigging workshop

We supply and fit yacht spars from Selden, Z-Spars and Eurospars as well as standing and running rigging. Standing rigging can be supplied in stainless or galvanized with stainless rigging available in 1X19 and dyform. Running rigging can be supplied in braid on braid or

dyneema with a full splicing service available. Spliced ropes can also be manufactured for mooring lines and anchor ropes.

Our sail loft offers sail manufacture and repairs sails, covers and canopies all custom made to your requirements. We also offer a full laundry service for sails and laundry and reproofing service for covers.
